https://nurturing-health.com/how-to-take-care-of-your-body-skin-naturally/Don’t have time for intensive skin care? Pamper yourself with the basics. Whatever your age, it is important to think about healthy-looking skin. Everyone wants to have healthy skin that is free of blemishes and free from sun damage and age lines. The skin is the largest organ of our body and consists of two main layers, the epidermis, and the dermis.

If you’re looking for the answer to healthy, glowing skin, you should be prepared to consider introducing a few new “rituals” into your daily routine. It’s tempting to invest in expensive skincare products, but if you want healthy-looking skin, follow these simple steps to get a glowing complexion.

The Best New Ways To Get Healthy-Looking Skin

  • Avoid the sun during peak hours: The sun’s rays do the most damage between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., so limit the time you spend outdoors during this period.
  • Cover your skin with a tightly knit long-sleeved shirt, long pants, and a wide-brimmed hat.
  • A good habit to start is to remember to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, this also helps to hydrate your skin and keep it looking healthy.
  • Vitamin A is necessary for the maintenance and repair of skin tissue. Many fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamin A, including carrots, spinach, watercress, and broccoli.
  • Caffeine can interfere with the absorption of nutrients and make your skin tired, blotchy, pale, and oily. Limit your caffeine intake to less than three cups per day if you want your skin to glow.
  • Manage stress, don’t skimp on sleep or healthy eating, and don’t be tempted by the latest beauty products.
  • Berries – They contain high levels of antioxidants, which protect your skin from free radicals and keep it young.
  • Cold pressed, expeller processed, or extra virgin oils – these are the best oils for the skin.
  • Don’t smoke: Smoking ages your skin and contributes to wrinkles. Smoking narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of the skin, which reduces blood flow.
  • Stay away from alcohol and tobacco. Both alcohol and nicotine can have devastating effects on the skin. Alcohol can make skin look dehydrated, red, and blotchy, while nicotine attacks blood vessels and deprives the skin of oxygen. While they can be difficult to break, your skin will glow.

Are you already using some of these new ways to get healthier-looking skin? How are you going to change your beauty routine to get a glowing complexion?
